My topic that i have chosen is a twist on fairytales. For example, half of my series is on based on the topic of Sleeping Beauty. Where as the other half of my series is based on Little Red Riding Hood.
The topics that I choose are various ways that I find that I describe myself. I am the type of person who enjoys viewing the world as if it were a living breathing fairytale, so thus when I choose my topics for my work, I like to encorporate that. When I think about my topic, I think of things like good vs evil, and light vs dark. I think about beauty and princesses, which make me think of all the fairytale books I used to read or had read to me as a child.
The work that I do really captures the ideas that are constintly swarming my head night and day. So when you see the darkness of the forest, or even the pailness of a girls flawless skin, it really takes you to the place that I seem to live whithin my mind. I am constantly finding myself being challenged by my creatons that I imagine for each shoot. So it makes me really think about the execution of each shoot and how i can possibly manage to do it all by myself. In the future I hope to become a famous phhotographer, and help people see how truely magical the world around us can be.
